The Screenwriting Bible - Get A -Z Info on all aspects of screenwriting. A wealth of information from writing to publishing - Highly recommended for beginners, or advanced Screenwriters. A full 425 page printed book or the Downloadable versions are available. Although there are some share type downloadables out there, I am sure David Trottier the writer of this Helpful Book, would prefer you show him the same respect you would hope other show you with your writing, and buy his book. 

 

Screenplay Formating - The arrival of screenwriting software has taken a lot of hassle out of having to learn how to format a script properly. However, it is best to know the essentials. Here is a decent description of the process written by Film School On Line. 

 

American Film Institute (AFI) - Here is an excellent primer into screenwriting with good detail and examples. Well worth a read by anyone interested in improving their screenwriting skills. Consists of 5 sessions, each with a different topic. Covers: Premise, Character Development, Screenplay Structure & Visual Storytelling, Setting the Scene, and Formatting your script.
